Citizenship Discount For Migrant Pensioners Scrapped

Concession rates on citizenship applications for migrant pensioners, widows and veterans are set to be scrapped from July 1st. Minister for Home Affairs, Peter Dutton moved to enact the changes last week in a process that bypasses the need for legislation. The move has the Greens and migrant groups across the country calling for the government to rethink the changes.

Executive Producer on The Daily, Ruby Innes, spoke to Dr Alia Imtoual, the Director of Policy at the Federation of Ethnic Communities Council Australia about the impacts that these potential changes could have.
