We all know about America’s imposed trade tariffs on China but this week they have decided to increase these tariffs with another $200bn worth of products. China has vowed to retaliate on this unfair move by the Trump administration. The tariffs are on a list of wide ranging goods from food products to consumer electronics including televisions. For a year the Trump Administration has urged China to stop is unfair practices and to engage in open market competition but after failing to comply the US has felt this tariff is just. These tariffs could bring the two largest economies in the world to a trade war. 2SER was joined by Len Perry from the University of Technology Sydney to discuss these tariffs.
