Blake Everett’s Comedy Bonanza is on at The Newsagency in Annandale. Blake Everett will be joined by a band of other comedians including Stuart Daulman, Chase Paradise, Jared Jekyll, Bonnie Tangey Comedy, Jeeves Verma and Madeleine Stewart. It’s on from 7pm-9.30pm and all tickets are $10 at the door.

Fearless is the Art Gallery of NSW’s first exhibition to explore women artists ties with South Asia. It includes major works by Huma Bhabha, Shilpa Gupta, Reena Saini Kallat, Nalini Malani and more. Each artist interrogates connections to diverse cultures and geographies, fearlessly questioning historical events, personal memories and their own identity. This is on from 21 July- 23 Jan 2019, 10am-5pm and it’s completely free!

Tuesday

Hello World: Code and Design is a new exhibition at the UTS Gallery examines the role of code in contemporary design, considering the ways in which designers are integrating computation into their practice. The exhibition gathers objects and technologies from across the design spectrum—from fashion and textiles, to the moving image, graphics and the handmade—in order to reveal the social, economic and critical impact of code and design. This is on from 24 July to 4 September, 12pm-6pm and it’s free to visit.

Wednesday

Art, wine and hot chicken? An evening with Belles Hot Chicken and YMO Collective is providing something different for your Wednesday night. Expect 4 live artists painting on site with art available to purchase, a free glass of natural wine on arrival and Belles Hot Chicken full menu available to order during the event. This is on from 6-8pm and tickets are $6 + booking fees.

Thursday

SG Lewis is playing at Oxford Art Factory. SG Lewis has been acknowledged as one of Britain’s most exciting producers to hit the music scene. Following the recent release of ‘Dusk’, the first of his three-part album ‘Dusk, Dark, Dawn’, the electronic sensation will be taking his full band down under. Check this out at Oxford Art Factory. Continuation, curated by Kyra Kum-Sing, is a journey through the eyes of NSW-based Aboriginal artists, who maintain their connection to traditional and cultural practices through art, song and dance. This is showing at ARTBAR at the Museum of Contemporary Art Australia from 7-11pm. Tickets are $18-28.
