NASA turns Sixty
The National Aeronautics and Space Administration, more commonly known as NASA, turns sixty this week. Founded on the 29th of July 1958, NASA has been responsible for some of the most significant scientific and technological developments related to air and space since its establishment at the beginning of the Space Age. But what exactly does NASA do and just how important are they? Phil Bland Distinguished Professor from the School of Earth and Planetary Sciences at Curtin University joined Drive on the line to discuss the Space Agency as they reach their diamond jubilee.
