The Local Colour: Experiments in Nature exhibition
A new exhibition focused on locally-sourced plant materials has opened at the UNSW Galleries in Paddington. The practice of extracting natural dyes are about as old as mankind- in this exhibition they’re undergoing a renaissance. Curator of the exhibition, Associate Professor Liz Williamson, gave us some insight into the world of ‘slow textiles.’
