Where do we get our ideals of what beauty is?
The beauty industry is one of Australia’s most serious obsessions, so much so that the industry accumulates to billions of dollars every year. Despite Beauty being crucial to pop culture, media, art and literature, do we even know what beauty really is? Do we as Australians have particular ideals of beauty? Contrary to the popular saying, Experts believe that beauty is NOT in the eye of the beholder. To discuss where do these beauty ideals come from and who is in control of them, we were joined by Journalist and Filmmaker Santilla Chingaipe.
