Australians are distrustful of our public figures. Even in our healthy democracy, Australians still are unaware of who is influencing public debate behind closed doors. A report by the Grattan Institute has investigated this phenomenon and has made calls to “drain the billabong”. We spoke to Danielle Wood, author of the report and Chair of the Women in Economics Network.
