Over the past couple weeks, reports have emerged about whether or not media titans Rupert Murdoch and Kerry Stokes played a role in the ousting of Prime Minister Malcolm Turnbull.

The concentration of media ownership in Australia is one of the highest in the world, second, in fact, to China.

Julie Macken talks about how the media has been used to serve the personal interests of the individuals who own them to tarnish the reputations of charities and individuals. She says that this has led to no free and independent media in Australia, and this needs to change.
