Depending on what side of politics you lean towards, the word union evokes a myriad of responses from individuals, incumbent governments and the business sector. There are pros and cons for the existence of unions, however, did you know, that in Australia, we have a union that advocates for the rights of the unemployed? Jess spoke with Jeremy Poxon, media officer for the Australian Unemployed Workers’ Union about the role of the Union and its advocacy work.
