Reaching for global sounds from across the pond, is Kiwi multi-instrumentalist and producer Julien Dyne. Having worked with the likes of Theo Parrish and Steve Spacek, Dyne brings a forward leaning blend of percussive afro house, and fiery soul and funk. ‘Teal’ is a synth-heavy album mining melodies that will put a rejuvenating spring to your dance floor moves.

Melbourne seven piece Cool Sounds move towards more dusty, country tones on their new record ‘Cactus Country’. There’s still an abundant of charming and ramshackle indie pop here, but the band also take on nostalgic 70s rock sounds too. If you don’t know Cool Sounds, you may have heard of it’s members’ other projects like The Ocean Party, Ciggie Witch, and No Local.

And for a mixed bag of delights, we’ve got Brit Eliza Shaddad and her debut album ‘Future’. Built on her early folk and grunge influences, Shaddad also confidently cuts across trip-hop, West-Coast surf rock, and at times all out pop. It’s gorgeously dreamy stuff that’s sharp-whitted and full of sage wisdom.

Plus the return of Matthew E. White, another taste of Gospelbeach‘s forthcoming album, and new singles from Jealous of Birds, and homegrown talents Key Out, Red Zora, and Tiana Khasi.
