Yes Yes Yes
Shirleene Robinson shares the journey behind co-authoring the book, “Yes Yes Yes”, with Alex Greenwich. It follows the untold story of marriage equality campaigning in Australia from its roots in 2004, to its legalisation.
As well as being one of the most personal books Shirleene has written, it also captures the everyday voices of people across Australian that made the reform possible. The novel is an attempt to do justice to one of the most extraordinary movements of social change in the author’s lifetime.
Shirleene recognises the incredible youth of Australia and the importance of allies, including the story of mothers in regional towns standing up for their children. She will also be talking at the Feminist Writers Festival this weekend, where she will delve into the important role women play in pushing social change.
