Asylum Seeker Children Off Nauru Island By End Of 2018
Reports have surfaced this week that the federal government has started to relocate Asylum seeker families off Nauru island to South Australia. Australia’s High commissioner to the UK, George Brandis, explained the goal to also have all Asylum seeker children off the island by the end of 2018. PM Scott Morrison has chosen to relocate these families in secret, The Department of Home Affairs have decided not to release any information to the public as well. This is has not gone without criticism, with some saying that it will have largely negative implications on policy.
