Jacaranda Trees Drawing Large Crowds In Camden
Jacaranda season is well and truly upon us.
These beautiful purple trees have become quite a tourist attraction for people visiting Sydney – with a particular street in Kirribilli making headlines over the past few weeks for the vast amount of people taking photos of the purple lined street.
However it’s not just Kirribilli that’s drawing big crowds. Camden in Sydney’s South West is hosting its first ever Jacaranda Festival to celebrate these colourful trees.
Evie Maguire asked Steve Wisbey, Co-Founder of the Camden Jacaranda Festival, why a tree that originates from South America has become such a local attraction.
