The fastest burning species in bushfire season

Australia is no stranger to fluctuating climate conditions, but should we be so adverse to bushfires?

In some instances, bushfires can be highly beneficial with the burning of certain plant species spreading rich nutrients on the bush floor.

Pressures of climate change threaten to make bushfires more intense and frequent, but Brad Murray from the School of Life Sciences at UTS says the answer isn’t in bushfire hysteria, but researching the species that catch alight the easiest.
