Gender Equality starts with Education

Last Sunday over 5,000 people took part in the Sydney Women’s March, to advocate for women’s rights around the world, and raise awareness about violence against women.

A key theme among speakers and marchers alike, was the need for more communication and early education.

One such education provider, fEMPOWER started out as a grassroots organisation operated out of the University of Sydney. They now run high school workshops, on how to recognise and challenge gender inequality.

The Daily’s Julia Carr-Catzel spoke with Lane Pitcher, one of fEMPOWER’s content creators and educators.
