The Power Struggle in Venezuela

For the last 20 years the situation in Venezuela has worsened struggling with lack of medical supply, famine, economic and social issues. Which is why on the On Wednesday 23rd the President of the National Assembly, Juan Guaido, proclaimed himself president of Venezuela due to the ongoing humanitarian crisis. As a result many protests and discontent in many countries such the US, EU and Australia have support Guaido as the current President in hopes he will resolve these issues. However could their support be selfishly motivated?  The Daily was joined by Tim Anderson from the University of Sydney to discuss more on Venezuela and the recent protest in Sydney supporting Venezuela’s new interim President.
