Looking Here, Looking North
Looking here, looking north is an exhibition showing at the Casula Powerhouse. It’s made up by a collective of artists (and friends!) that all carry a continuing and personal connection to Indonesia. The works explore how they shared their practices through themes of identity, memory, and cross-cultural experience through multidisciplinary mediums.
Indonesian Cultural Day is also coming up on the 10th of February where, in conjunction with the exhibition, there will be art workshops and performances.
So Hot Right Now’s producer, Nicole Beck, sits down with artists, Sofiyah Ruqaya and Kartika Suharto-Martin, from the collective called Woven, to talk more about the exhibition.
