Wenee Yap and Thomas Derricott are the proud owners of Sydney’s newest cat cafe, Catmosphere, which opened its doors this weekend.

But how exactly does one go from being an arts graduate to owning a cat cafe?

Wenee and Thomas met while studying Writing and Cultural Studies at the University of Technology Sydney, with Wenee also studying Law and Thomas International Studies.

The pair have since launched a successful marketing firm, The Ducky Mafia.

In this week’s episode Ellen Leabeater sits down with the couple to explore the international experiences that helped shape their future, and find out how the space themed cat cafe came about.
