Sydney Gears Up for World’s Greatest Shave 2019

The World’s Greatest Shave is kicking off for another year next week, raising funds for blood cancer research and supporting families affected by leukemia. Tragically, 35 people every day are diagnosed with a blood cancer in Australia and this number is expected to increase to close to 50 people per day by 2025.

The good news is that survival rates are improving thanks to ongoing research and better treatment.  And with every hair shaved, coloured and waxed next week, more funds will go towards these important services.

Tess was joined by the Leukemia Foundation’s General Manager of People Living with Blood Cancer, Emma Craig for a chat about the 2019 campaign and the importance of this iconic annual event. Head to worldsgreatestshave.com to sign up, support your shaving mates or check out the big shave event at Martin Place next Wednesday March 13th!
