The Chocolate Oyster
The struggle of twenty-something creatives living the Bondi fantasies is explored in a recent Australian film “The Chocolate Oyster,” which is screening at Newtown this week.
The story follows the lives of two Arts graduates, Elle and Taylor struggling to emulate the dream life of the art world, and at the same time pay their bills in one of the world’s most expensive cities. This results with a film with a critical lens about the dark-side of the fantasies of inner-city life. Stephen talked to the film’s writer-director Steve Jaggi about this film
