Talking about A Global Living Wage

The Australian Labor party will propose a two-step process to transform the current minimum wage to a living wage if it wins the next election, but what exactly is a living wage and how does Australia’s compare with the rest of the world? Shelley Marshall, Senior Research Fellow at RMIT University and author of the book, Living Wage, spent five years researching working conditions in countries including Australia, Bulgaria, Cambodia, India and Thailand and joined us to talk about the living wage in Australia, and the idea of a global living wage.
