Israel Folau Scandal
Israel Folau has got himself into hot water again. Last week, the New South Wales and Australian rugby player posted another homophobic instagram photo, stating that gay people will go to Hell.
The incident is almost identical to a similar one last year; expect this time, rather being given a slap on the wrist by Rugby Australia, Folau has been found in breach of contract and may see an end to his career.
Folau is challenging the breach notice, so it won’t be a while before we know his fate; but before then, to discuss the issue I’m joined by Dr Ryan Storr, Lecturer in Sport Development at the University of Western Sydney.
