You’ve Got Mail
Can authentic human emotion prevail in the age of the internet? Or are we too invested in cyberspace?
You’ve Got Mail is a remake of the 1998 rom-com You’ve Got Mail that stars Meg Ryan and Tom Hanks with a twist. The plot spirals, genre bends, and a camp, uncanny parody ensues. It personifies the internet, portrays Meg Ryan as a completely autonomous cyber-feminist.
Nicole sits down with Ang Collins, co-creator, about the show and what it was like adapting the original 1998 narrative.
You’ve Got Mail, Griffin Theatre Company, 26-27 April, 10pm, tickets here.
