“Heat” by Paul Blackmore at Head On Photo Festival
From Max Dupain’s iconic image of the “Sunbaker” (1937) to Brett Whiteley’s painting of “The balcony 2” (1975) , home-grown artists have long sought to capture the beauty of the Australian coast.
Paul Blackmore is an Australian photographer continuing that narrative through his upcoming show “Heat” – a series documenting Sydney’s city beaches through three consecutive heatwaves.
Nicole spoke with Paul to understand more about what we can expect from his show exhibiting at Bondi Pavilion as part of the 2019 Head On Photo Festival.
