Independents Pledge to Block Adani Mine
Yesterday, seven independent candidates – including Kerryn Phelps, Julia Banks, and Zali Steggall – pledged that in the event of a minority government, they would only form a coalition with a government that would block the Adani mine.
With trust in the main parties falling, it’s possible that independent and third-party candidates may be playing a larger role in shaping government policy.
