Lowy Institute poll finds Australians see climate change as biggest threat

The Lowy Institute has released results to a 2019 poll showing 64% of  Australians see climate change as the critical threat to Australia’s future interests.

Australia is characteristically a climate-conscious nation, and experts say it’s due to what we’re seeing and feeling – whether it be record-hot summers we’ve endured over the past few years, or the physical erosion happening across the country.

With our federal election only days away, this new data is taking us inside the minds of voters and what they’ll be considering when they get to the voting booths.

Tess spoke with Natasha Kassam from the Lowy Institute about the poll and this new change in attitude it’s discovered.
