Bill Shorten has promised to make moves towards becoming a republic if he’s elected on Saturday, the latest update in a political issue that has spanned the past few decades. Many Australians feel it’s time for Australia to cut ties with the British Monarchy once and for all, but others aren’t so keen on the idea.
