Anthony Albanese to Assume Labor Leadership?

Following Bill Shorten’s exit as leader for the Labor party, the opposition have put their minds to selecting his replacement. The beginning of this week saw multiple names floating around for potential leadership such as Chris Bowen and Jim Chalmers and Tanya Plibersek, who have now stepped down. This leaves Anthony Albanese running relatively uncontested with the strongest backing from both party and caucus members. In light of this, we were joined by Professor Roberta Ryan, Professor from the Institute for Public Policy and Governance at the University of Technology Sydney to discuss the possible optics of an Albanese Labor party.
