Amidst a maelstrom of protest, shock jock postulation and salacious media stories a discussion is trying to take place in Melbourne about whether or not a medically supervised injecting centre should be approved.

Interestingly the same debate took place in the 1990’s in Sydney, when the first ever Medically Supervised Injecting Centre was first approved.
