Watch Out, Wollemi Pine Faces Endangerment
It survived the dinosaurs, but it’s now struggling to survive in our modern world. The ancient Wollemi Pine, which was only discovered in 1994, is already critically endangered. They are so rare that some locations are made confidential, and disturbing or harming the tree can even receive jail time. With only 140 individual plants left, it looks like the modern world is a harsher competitor for the Wollemi Pine to survive in compared to the T-rex.
