Today, 25th June, 2019, marks exactly a decade to the date of Michael Jackson’s death. He was a groundbreaking icon not just in pop music, but in pop culture as a whole. From his hundreds of awards to his contributions to dance, video, and fashion over his five decades, Michael Jackson is one of the most celebrated, and criticised, artists of the 20th century. Associate Professor Mark Pollard, Head of Interactive Composition in the Melbourne Conservatorium of Music at the University of Melbourne is on the line to reflect on MJ’s legacy, ten years on.
