NSW Rooftop solar policy lacking in comparison to other states

Rooftop solar policy isn’t shining as bright in NSW compared to other states such as Victoria and SA.

Down south, the Victorian government is launching a “solar revolution” with its 1.3 billion dollar solar homes program which will help 770,000 homes in the state invest in solar panels or solar batteries.

Meanwhile in South Australia, they’re investing in solar connected batteries to build the largest “virtual power plant” in the world with the help of battery experts Tesla and generous rebates.

Stephanie Gray is a campaigner at Solar Citizens and she talks to 2Ser Breakfast about the shortcomings of rooftop solar policy in NSW. Solar Citizens is an independent community based organisation working to protect and grow solar in Australia.
