Showing your ex that you’ve moved on used to be as simple as getting a new haircut, but with over 100,000 posts on Instagram tagged “#revengebody”, it seems that an improved body with reduced fat and/or increased muscle, is the new way to prove to someone who hurt you, how well you’re doing without them.
As part of her research into the phenomenon, Dr Mair Underwood, Lecturer in Anthropology and Sociology at the University of Queensland, spoke with The Daily’s Stephan Hill about the use of the term in social media.
