Help Our Threatened Possums by Spotting Them with This New App
Have you ever seen a possum? If you’re lucky, you might find one in your local park or backyard. Well, researchers have created an app where you can record any you find and help researchers find better ways to protect them. This app, called the CAUL Urban Wildlife app, can help researchers learn more about possums and gliders, who are unfortunately listed as threatened species under Australian environmental law.
To talk more about this app, The Daily was joined by Dr Rochelle Steven, research fellow from the University of Queensland’s Centre for Biodiversity and Conservation Science.
When you have the chance, download the CAUL Urban Wildlife app and help our possums and gliders.
