The National Alcohol Strategy: Tackling Australia’s Drinking Problem
Last week, a draft of the National Alcohol Strategy was leaked to the public. The strategy, which outlines a nation-wide plan for combating alcohol-related harm, has drawn the ire of many state and territory ministers. They are now refusing to endorse the strategy, over fears that input from the alcohol industry has seen this plan watered down considerably. Professor Peter Miller, Director of the Deakin University Centre for Drug Use, Addictive and Anti-Social Behaviour Research, joined us on The Daily to discuss the strategy.
