Unused building to be re-purposed as shelter for homeless women
Women’s Community Shelters have opened a new home every year since their inception.
Their newest, Beecroft House, has a twist.
The unused nursing home will be repurposed to house 20 women over 55 experiencing homelessness.
In a city full of empty buildings and people in need of accommodation, it could provide a new model for helping vulnerable women.
