What can we learn from the recent victory of the Tamil family? Quite a bit, suggests Julie. It can bring hope to the wider community as we begin to increase the trust in each other, whilst fighting to protect the common interests of a familiar entity, the family. We see ourselves and we see each other fighting for people who need our care, showcasing that the strength of our common humanity has not diminished, but has grown. As Julie suggests, this is a moment for us all to feel proud.
