Climate Change Means Dying Glaciers
Just recently, Switzerland held a ‘funeral’ to mark the loss of The Pizol an alpine glacier. According to Alessandra Degiacomi, of the Swiss Association for Climate Protection, The Pizol had lost so much substances that from a scientific perspective it was no longer a glacier. Also, scientists had warned that more than 90% of alpine glaciers could disappear by the end of this century if CO2 emissions were not decreased. We were joined by Professor Jamie Shulmeister from The University of Queensland to discuss why climate change is happening right now.
