Are you tired of people telling you to eat more vegetables or your parents nagging you about it? There has been a misconception on the heavy consumption of meat leading to many health issues. When in reality, the connection between meat and cancer might not be as bad as we perceive as there is an actual lack of evidence to prove this.
Scientists have even mentioned that cutting back on meat is trivial. That meat isn’t the sole responsibility in leading to an increase in bowel and colon cancer but other factors play a role as well such as our lifestyle and eating habits. We had Dr Emma Beckett who is a lecturer in the School of Environmental and Life Sciences at the University of Newcastle to explain more.
