State Politics: The Push For Nuclear Energy and The Right To Farm Bill

This week in state politics, the push for nuclear power and the right to farm bill. With the increasing closure of coal fire power stations, conservative politicians have been pushing for cleaner alternatives to coal. As power and uranium mining is banned in NSW and across the country, Mark Latham has recently put forward a bill to lift the ban.

 

Another bill to be introduced in NSW Parliament is the right to farm bill that will make it illegal for protesters to enter farming areas. Should the bill be passed the legislation is going to affect more than preventing animal activists from entering farming areas, it will effectively shutdown those protests.
