A 24-Hour Sydney
The proposal for a ’24-Hour Sydney’ released earlier this year has been recently approved. From mid June, businesses in central Sydney will be allowed to trade for 24 hours a day. There will also be a new 24-hour trading precinct in Alexandria, and extended trading hours around Redfern, Glebe and Pyrmont.
Sydney Councillor, Jess Scully, talks more about the action and what it means for Sydney businesses.
If you have a business the CBD, you will have to apply for the extended trading hours through a development application process, which is notified to the community. You will be
required to demonstrate how you will mitigate sound impacts on surrounding neighbours in its application.
