Amateurs by Laura Jean is the Feature Album this week on 2SER.

Set at a mystical midway point between the deep synth-pop of Devotion and the folkier sounds of her earlier work, Laura Jean’s new album Amateurs sees Laura questioning her role as a songwriter and examining the reality of her choices to prioritise art over other parts of her life.

Laura Jean joins 2SER Breakfast to talk about the nature of making music and why being an amateur doesn’t mean that you can’t make beautiful and meaningful art.
