Finally visiting Simon Brett’s works, after speaking with him last year about his role as the chairman of the Detection Club, how do our expectations hold up? As Charles Paris is reintroduced to the world of modern acting after many years absence, how do his ideas keep up with the ways of the world? After the murder of a fellow player in a production of Hamlet, Charles is also thrust back into the role of amateur detective, trying to unravel this conspiracy before the production is drawn to a close.
