A Diamond in the Rough – Baseball’s growth in Australia
Australia is home to so many sports whether it be in the backyard, in local social competitions or even on the world stage. None of which have flown under the radar more so than baseball. Boasting a silver medal at the 2004 Athens Olympics and an average 10th place overall on the global baseball rankings, baseball in Australia is growing rapidly with the Australian Baseball League (ABL) being the preferred tournament for international players during their offseason. We were joined by Kaitlin Mason, Marketing Media and Communications Manager of Baseball Australia to discuss the role of media in the growth of baseball in Australia.
