A family union for the Sun

A leading team of Australian galactic archaeologists are on a search to find clusters of  stars that were formed alongside the sun. Despite the potential difficulties of conducting a wide scale search along the galaxy,  the results could be essential in solving the many mysteries regarding the origins of the milky way. So what has the research shown so far? Professor Steven Tingay, executive director of Curtin University Institute of Radio Astronomy joined us to discuss this.
