A Final Warning – Professor Lesley Hughes on the latest IPCC report

The IPCC (Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change) is the most authoritative international body on climate science.

Their Assessment Reports are very much ‘a survival guide for humanity’. Their recently issued 6th report has been deemed a ‘final warning’ to take urgent action before global warming exceeds 1.5 degrees Celsius.

Lesley Hughes is a Distinguished Professor of Biology and Interim Executive Dean of the Faculty of Science & Engineering at Macquarie University, as well as a former Lead Author in the IPCC’s 4th and 5th Assessment Report, a former federal Climate Commissioner and now a Councillor and Director with the Climate Council of Australia

Professor Hughes joined 2SER Breakfast to elaborate on the report and provide some hope for the future, as long as we act now.
