The ABC’s Cuts: Are they justified?
Last month it was announced that the ABC is imposing a new round of cuts at Radio National with eight staff and several programs to be slashed from the 2017 schedule. The ABC will end its shortwave transmission service in the Northern Territory and to international audiences from 31 January 2017. Are these cuts necessary? Will this affect regional access to news and content? To answer our questions Dr Alex Wake Senior Lecturer in journalism at RMIT University joined us on The Daily.
