Aboriginal-Led Charity Closing The Gap On Literacy

The 12th Closing the Gap report shows that Aboriginal children still fall far behind non-Indigenous children in literacy, numeracy and writing skills. Statistics also show that more than 40% of Aboriginal Adults have low literacy. When this comes to remote areas, the figure can be as high as 70%.

The Literacy for Life Foundation is an Aboriginal Run Charity that is changing lives by training Aboriginal people to bring literacy to their communities. Jess has a chat with the Executive Director of Literacy for Life Jack Beetson to find out more.
