Abortion can be challenging for some Australians: research

While abortions are legal in Australia, some people are finding access to abortion services limited and far between.

Time sensitive access, stigma, costs and physical location are a a few of the barriers Australians are facing when attempting to access abortion services.

Without a national standard framework of health advice for abortion seekers, some GPs are finding difficulty in rereferring patients to appropriate services and pathways.
