Abortion decriminalisation bill before NSW Parliament
New South Wales remains one of the last jurisdictions in Australia to have abortion, and the means to achieve it, within the Crimes Act and as punishable with criminal prosecution.
It seems like this may not be the case for much longer however, with a large swathe of MPs across party and political lines attempting to advance the Reproductive Health Care Reform Bill and change the way abortion is classified in this state.
To discuss the Bill, The Daily‘s Victor Petrovic was joined by Penny Sharpe, Labor Member of the NSW Legislative Council.
